Pororo Park Official Opening in Singapore

THE TASK: The launch of Pororo Park Singapore marked the opening of the first Pororo Park in Southeast Asia, and the largest character-themed indoor playground in Singapore. Touch PR was appointed to generate buzz and traffic to the one-of-its-kind holistic edutainment park that integrates entertainment and educational elements in an indoor playground setting.

Press announcements regarding the launch of the indoor playground were released to a curated list of media and online influencers and more than 30 media titles and 35 online influencers attended the media preview of the character themed indoor playground.

The preview allowed media guests to gain first-hand experience of Pororo Park Singapore and the news of the opening was widely shared and circulated with Channel News Asia Online sharing a video of the experience garnering 3,707 shares and 1,184 likes within a day.

Guests were treated to a guided tour and Mr Choi Jong-il – creator of Pororo the little penguin and COE of ICONIX also graced the event and shared his vision for Pororo Park. Media interviews for Mr Choi were also secured with The Straits Times and TODAY, and were facilitated during the event.

By the end of the 3-month project, Touch PR garnered a total of $1.5 million in PR coverage. PR efforts surrounding the launch of Pororo Park Singapore helped establish top-of-mind recall for the indoor playground as the go-to kids entertainment venue amongst parents and visitation rates to Pororo Park Singapore soared.
